Best of Summer! Top 10 + a few more ;)

Hi guys! It's my birthday month!! You should know I love to extend the celebration as long as I can! Today I am sharing all my favorites from August...

Birthday dinner with my fam at one of our favorites...Juans flaming fajitas...be prepared for a bit of a wait.

My Hubby was so thoughtful with his gifts... you all probably know by now, that I LOVE my audiobooks, podcasts and music, right? The perfect gift? AirPods- these things are amazing. 1 of my favorite things about them- when you take one out (because your kids are trying to ask you something) it automatically pauses til you put it back in!

In the pic on the right, my parents gave me that cute choker necklace from Made By Mary

I've always talked about wanting a hammock, and I love it! Pretty sure Brian bought it on amazon. (it's his favorite way to shop after all)
I'm so excited for the weather to cool off a bit and really enjoy this (if i can get any time on it between all my kiddos)

I think I've posted these before, but I LOVE baths, and these Lush bath bombs are my all time fave!

I treated myself to a Target run on my birthday. All my kids are in school all day now and I went to browse, and found like 6 pairs of earrings To: Me From: Me #treatyoself

I got to go to the Maskcara Beauty Convention for Independent Artists a couple weeks ago. It was a fabulous time as always. I really appreciate time to recharge and connect with my friends, some of who I've met since joining this tribe. I love surrounding myself with inspiring women. This draw is what first drew me to Endless Glow and then Maskcara Beauty. #findyourtribe

The New Broadway season has begun at The Smith Center! We love a night at the theatre. We weren't sure what to expect with School of Rock, but we were really into it from start to finish.

A treat that we've been eating alot of the past couple months...I mean, chocolate- yes, but add in almonds and toffee??!! YES!

It's no surprise, I read/listened to a TON of books this summer (and I'll share some lists soon) but this book At Home in the World was the perfect quench for wanderlust! Please tell me the book you loved reading this summer!

I love a good sugar cookie. Splash drinks at Fabulous Freddy's car wash has a drive thru and delicious sugar cookies and a new chocolate frosted peanut butter cookies. These are thick soft, so if your'e like my hubby who likes thin, crunchy, cracker like cookies, these are NOT for you.

And my favorite exercise class... High Fitness! If you haven't tried a class yet, High fitness LV has 1 class so far at the LVAC on west flamingo and SinCity high fitness has a few classes and the centennial YMCA throughout the week!

Phew! I hope I peaked your interest with these faves of mine, and I'd love to hear what you love!

Top 10 Tuesday!

Hello and Happy SUMMER!

I've had a eventful and fun week with my 3 boys all having birthdays, it's been a blast!

I've got a whole random assortment of things in this weeks "Top 10"

1. I wanted some yummy french bread for dinner one Sunday a few months ago, and found this one on pinterest. It was quick, so I decided to try it. YUM! It was so easy and so good! we make it almost every week for Sunday dinner now.

2. My kids have been getting a "summer cold" sniffles, cough, stuffy nose.... These doterra oils are my favorite, especially for kids. I roll them up there spines and on their feet multiple times a day to help with the symptoms.

3. I've been a fan of Dave Ramsey and his daughter Rachel for years now. I just listened to her new book Love Your Life, Not Theirs this week and I reminded me of so many great things to put in to practice. She give great financial advice, and if your looking for financial freedom or even just a few more pointers, it will lead you back to what started it all, The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey

 4. I just love Rachel Hollis. I listened to this podcast of hers this week and it inspired me to try her "5 to Thrive" If you're into self care, give it a listen. If you aren't in to self care yet, then maybe listen so you'll be inspired to begin to put yourself first, so you can be your best for everyone else you serve.

5. Thanks to Ms Rachel Hollis, I've been trying to drink lots of water this past week, and I feel good!

6. More Rachel, her new book Girl, wash your face. I really liked it! Listen to the audio if you can, I love when the author reads their own book, especially when they're good at it, she is!

7. Bought this diffuser at a cute little shop in California last week. It has the perfect light scent of Jasmine and Gardenia which are my faves right now. It's in my bedroom. love.

8. I enjoyed this quick read, Inescapeable by Amy Bartol. It's a YA fiction, that reminded me a bit of Twilight but with angels.

9. I love this reminder. Chase your dreams. Remember you can't please everybody, always.

10. My favorite perfume right now. I have quite a few to choose form everyday that I like, but I always gravitate to this one, Bombshell from victoria's secret.

Let me know what you've been loving this week, and if try any of these,

Tuesday Top 10!

Hello! Here's what I've been loving this week!

1. Orgain Chocolate fudge protein shake My husband and I both LOVE these and we drink one every morning for breakfast. Most of the time, its plenty to hold me over until lunch. Brian drinks one and takes a peanut butter Balance bar or KIND bar. Not only do they taste great and are easy to grab on the go, they have 16 grams of protein and 10 servings of fruits and vegetables! I have found them cheapest at costco.com a 12 pk for $25, but they're out of stock right now.

2. Peanut butter Balance bars- we love these protein bars. They taste great and aren't too sweet. They are hard to find now though, which is pretty typical of anything Brian and I have come to love.

3. YUMMY drink. I don't even really drink soda, but my friend introduced me to the magic of coconut creamer (yes, the coffee creamer) add some to your coke or Dr. Pepper and you get a fun treat thats a little addicting!

4. Native Co. deodorant- I was looking for a deodorant that actually worked well for me and didn't smell like deodorant. Native deodorant popped up on pinterest search and I decided to give it a try. Plus I love supporting small business- bonus! The Eucalyptus and mint is my favorite scent. It is light and fresh and just smells good!

5. Podcast- The Way I Heard It. I've always been a Mike Rowe fan since the early days of "Dirty Jobs" and I came across his podcast which are short stories that he's rewritten to keep you guessing who he's talking about and reveals at the very end. My kids enjoy listening are car trips too!

6. Book series- Michael Vey, Prisoner of cell 25. This teen series by Richard Paul Evans was so entertaining! I loved this whole series! If you get the chance, listen to the audio!!

7. This Churro Chex mix is bad news because you will sit and eat it all in one sitting. Its sooooo good! I found the recipe here from Confessions of a cookbook queen.

8. Hamilton soundtrack. pure talent. We've had it on repeat for over a year now. My whole family loves it. It's history+Rap+hip hop. You get all the feels. Get the clean version if your kids listen with you.

9. Pink Desert boutique- Cutest, modest, clothing and swim boutique. I have found so many cute dresses, shirts and swim this spring from Pink Desert. Also, getting to support a small business and a friend with big dreams!!

10. Maskcara Beauty Milk Moisturizing Creme. It's perfect for all skin types. It's Magic. It it thick and luxurious feeling but doesn't feel heavy once you put it on.

  • What it is: Milk Creme contains 16% natural milk components and moisturizes the driest of skins, leaving you with a youthful glow. With its combination of the alpha-hydroxy lactic acid and vitamins A and E, it gently penetrates the skin surface and helps exfoliate and release dead skin cells. Milk Creme is alcohol free and contains allantoin, jojoba oil, and rhodopsin oil, which are all natural and beneficial to the skin.
  • How you use it: Apply Milk Creme nightly after cleansing and toning to your face, neck, and any areas on the body that are dry or dull.We recommend nightly use. For best results, cleanse with our Milk Cleanser and prep your skin for moisture with Milk Toner for healthy, radiant skin.

Phew! That's a lot of cool stuff! Hope you enjoy!

Tuesday TOP 10!

My Top 10 favorite things this week

I love hearing about really great items, activities or products that make people happy, so I'm going to share my "Top 10" things I'm loving this week! In no specific order. Please share things you're loving right now as well! (not sponsored, just stuff I'm loving)

1. Trader Joes Flowers.
They are inexpensive and have a large selection!
My first real job was at a flower shop here in Vegas. I loved it and learned a lot! Thank you Flowers By Michelle  I know arranging basics and LOVE buying up bunches and making my own beautiful arrangement to display.

 2. Carve the Mark book. I love reading and all different genres and especially audio books because I can listen while driving or cleaning, or with my ear buds in and the lights are already off :P This is a very interesting and entertaining YA fiction by Veronica Roth, author of the divergent series which I also really enjoyed, not so much the very ending of the last book though. Anyway, I'm already on the second of this series.

3. Fiddle leaf fig trees.
I have been wanting one of these for a few years now, but I've been holding our for a real one. Well it's just so expensive to buy a tall one here in Vegas. So after lots of research, I bought the 2 different sizes from World Market, and love them both, (the basket is from there as well) and the one from Hobby Lobby, to see which I like best, and I'm keeping them all! They all look great and are very different from each other, but I think the Hobby Lobby tree is the best deal, even though you have to pay for shipping. When shopping both sites, don't forget to use Ebates, which I'll mention next, to save you money!

4. Shopping with Ebates. If you aren't using Ebates, you need to sign up NOW! You just start your online shopping through their site, then you click on the site you want to shop. They all offer different rebate % back on whatever you purchase. It keeps track and pays out quarterly. I've earned hundreds of dollars back on purchases I was going to make anyway!

I love their candles because you can smell them throughout your whole house!  I always wait for them to go on sale, and you can sign up and get additional coupons. My favorite scents right now are a light floral, Fresh lilac, White Gardenia, and Casablanca Lily make my house smell so fresh and springy. Use ebates for you online order to save even more!

6.  Ikea knick knacks home decor. I found these adorable little cacti for my shelf. I love cute desert decor since the desert is my home and they make me happy when I see them. (it's the little things, am I right?)

7.  These sheets! You guys....investing in bedding, especially sheets, is something I'm a true believer in. I mean you spend 1/3 of your life in them, right? We found this little store Cariloha while in Jamaica, and I found my souvenir. Also, turns out the company is out of Utah. They are soooo soft you feel pampered every time you get in bed! They also told we they have a lifetime warranty. Sign up for emails and you can buy your set when they're having a sale! just saw you can use Ebates to save even more with them!

8. How to Art videos for kids! My kids love these videos and spend HOURS drawing these adorable pictures. That in itself is a WIN! The videos are well done and your kids make great creations that they're proud of.

9. Throat soothing Honey Lemon "Tea" My husband and daughter came down with a nasty sore throat and cold. I made this little drink and my husband was addicted. He said it helped a ton and he loved the taste. I found a little recipe here, but I just did

-Hot tap water in a mug
- squeeze in juice of half a lemon
- squeeze in honey. Stir

10. YUM YUM. this treat. You have to try. I find them at Smith's and Albertsons.
