Best of Summer! Top 10 + a few more ;)

Hi guys! It's my birthday month!! You should know I love to extend the celebration as long as I can! Today I am sharing all my favorites from August...

Birthday dinner with my fam at one of our favorites...Juans flaming fajitas...be prepared for a bit of a wait.

My Hubby was so thoughtful with his gifts... you all probably know by now, that I LOVE my audiobooks, podcasts and music, right? The perfect gift? AirPods- these things are amazing. 1 of my favorite things about them- when you take one out (because your kids are trying to ask you something) it automatically pauses til you put it back in!

In the pic on the right, my parents gave me that cute choker necklace from Made By Mary

I've always talked about wanting a hammock, and I love it! Pretty sure Brian bought it on amazon. (it's his favorite way to shop after all)
I'm so excited for the weather to cool off a bit and really enjoy this (if i can get any time on it between all my kiddos)

I think I've posted these before, but I LOVE baths, and these Lush bath bombs are my all time fave!

I treated myself to a Target run on my birthday. All my kids are in school all day now and I went to browse, and found like 6 pairs of earrings To: Me From: Me #treatyoself

I got to go to the Maskcara Beauty Convention for Independent Artists a couple weeks ago. It was a fabulous time as always. I really appreciate time to recharge and connect with my friends, some of who I've met since joining this tribe. I love surrounding myself with inspiring women. This draw is what first drew me to Endless Glow and then Maskcara Beauty. #findyourtribe

The New Broadway season has begun at The Smith Center! We love a night at the theatre. We weren't sure what to expect with School of Rock, but we were really into it from start to finish.

A treat that we've been eating alot of the past couple months...I mean, chocolate- yes, but add in almonds and toffee??!! YES!

It's no surprise, I read/listened to a TON of books this summer (and I'll share some lists soon) but this book At Home in the World was the perfect quench for wanderlust! Please tell me the book you loved reading this summer!

I love a good sugar cookie. Splash drinks at Fabulous Freddy's car wash has a drive thru and delicious sugar cookies and a new chocolate frosted peanut butter cookies. These are thick soft, so if your'e like my hubby who likes thin, crunchy, cracker like cookies, these are NOT for you.

And my favorite exercise class... High Fitness! If you haven't tried a class yet, High fitness LV has 1 class so far at the LVAC on west flamingo and SinCity high fitness has a few classes and the centennial YMCA throughout the week!

Phew! I hope I peaked your interest with these faves of mine, and I'd love to hear what you love!

Top 10 Tuesday!

Hello and Happy SUMMER!

I've had a eventful and fun week with my 3 boys all having birthdays, it's been a blast!

I've got a whole random assortment of things in this weeks "Top 10"

1. I wanted some yummy french bread for dinner one Sunday a few months ago, and found this one on pinterest. It was quick, so I decided to try it. YUM! It was so easy and so good! we make it almost every week for Sunday dinner now.

2. My kids have been getting a "summer cold" sniffles, cough, stuffy nose.... These doterra oils are my favorite, especially for kids. I roll them up there spines and on their feet multiple times a day to help with the symptoms.

3. I've been a fan of Dave Ramsey and his daughter Rachel for years now. I just listened to her new book Love Your Life, Not Theirs this week and I reminded me of so many great things to put in to practice. She give great financial advice, and if your looking for financial freedom or even just a few more pointers, it will lead you back to what started it all, The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey

 4. I just love Rachel Hollis. I listened to this podcast of hers this week and it inspired me to try her "5 to Thrive" If you're into self care, give it a listen. If you aren't in to self care yet, then maybe listen so you'll be inspired to begin to put yourself first, so you can be your best for everyone else you serve.

5. Thanks to Ms Rachel Hollis, I've been trying to drink lots of water this past week, and I feel good!

6. More Rachel, her new book Girl, wash your face. I really liked it! Listen to the audio if you can, I love when the author reads their own book, especially when they're good at it, she is!

7. Bought this diffuser at a cute little shop in California last week. It has the perfect light scent of Jasmine and Gardenia which are my faves right now. It's in my bedroom. love.

8. I enjoyed this quick read, Inescapeable by Amy Bartol. It's a YA fiction, that reminded me a bit of Twilight but with angels.

9. I love this reminder. Chase your dreams. Remember you can't please everybody, always.

10. My favorite perfume right now. I have quite a few to choose form everyday that I like, but I always gravitate to this one, Bombshell from victoria's secret.

Let me know what you've been loving this week, and if try any of these,

NYC food tour

So... eating all the food is one of my favorite things about traveling, so we try to eat at restaurants unique to where we are. We all know New York has a ton to offer, so I'll just tell you what we loved so you can add it to your list!

First of all, you need to get a 7 day unlimited metro card,  its only like $34 or something and totally worth it since we were there for 5 days.

We ate dinner near our hotel near time square at Brooklyn Diner. Everything we ate was delicious!

Next Stop was Grand Central Station, and the Magnolia bakery down there. we got cupcakes and magic cookie bars, but I guess they're known for their banana pudding with was sold out by the time we got there at closing time.

Billy's bakery had the best cupcakes! Banana with cream cheese frosting, YUM!

Hamilton is a MUST See!

We had a late dinner afterward at Black Tap. Food was good and Shakes were crazy cool!

If you love korean food and/or sushi, Mokbar is your place.

Breakfast at Clinton Street Baking Co. was yummy. It was a bit of a walk from the subway and a bit of a wait to be seated. but I'd do it again! That. syrup.

Our favorite spot was hands down Maison Pickle. EVERY. SINGLE. THING. WAS. HEAVEN. I guess they're known for their french dips- A-mazing. Buffalo mac and cheese. YES please!

And these pull apart rolls.... mouth is watering.

I've become really picky about pizza since frequenting Grimaldis here in Vegas, and John's Pizza on Bleeker did not disappoint!

You of course have to hit up Levain Bakery. If you want 2, get 'em, just in case you don't make it back like you planned! I got chocolate chip walnut and oatmeal raisin

We grabbed a quick bite at Shake shack on our last night. We have those here in Vegas and love it, So definitely go there. I love the hot dog and cheese fries.

It was freezing while we were there and central park was pretty dreary lookin, but we took a pic with this cute bridge and then realized its the one from Home Alone 2, in that pigeon scene :)

Last but not least, you MUST DO the 9-11 memorial and museum.

So what do I need to put on my list for next time??
