Top 10 Tuesday!

This week I started writing down my"TOPS" and realized they're all FREE things you can enjoy!

1. Overdrive App- I LOVE THIS APP! I have been a huge reader for the past 12 years or so (when did twilight come out? ;) When I was told about Overdrive it was a game changer for me. I use it to listen to audio books bu they also have ebooks. You get to login in using your library card. You check out books like at the library but all using the app. So awesome!

2. Hoopla app- This one is newer to me, but you also use your library card. They offer tons of movies (esp all the old disney classics we grew up with), ebooks, music and audiobooks. The audiobook selection is smaller than overdrive, but you can check it out right away, instead of having to wait for it to become available like you have to do with overdrive.

3. Freegal- This is a music site you can download 6 songs a week for free using your library card. You can stream music for free as well. I've built a nice little library from my freegal downloads. They don't have a huge selection, but I got a ton of The Piano Guys, Adele, and a lot of Christmas music. If you login right on the website, when you download it will go straight to your iTunes. I doesn't do that if you do it through their app.

4. TIU app- Tone It Up is a great little work out app that I love to use when I'm exercising at home. They have a different set of exercises everyday and different body focus. They also offer so much more. Try it!

5. Impromptu dance party! We're on summer break now in Vegas, so I'm looking to find all the fun and cheap things I can do with my kids. My kids love dance and show off their moves or experiment with new ones. Just turn on your favorite tunes. I know kids make it look easy, but Flossing takes practice! I'm happy to say I think I finally have it figured out!

6. Pandora App- free music streaming! This is great for those dance parties! You can set up your stations of artists you like, thumbs up and thumbs down songs and also just play songs you've liked.

7. Read Aloud- We've enjoyed reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone- illustrated edition, we're almost done. I just finished listening to The Read Aloud Family in the Overdrive app and she lists a ton of great family read aloud ideas. Pinterest has a ton of great lists as well.

8. Just Dance on YouTube- my kids stay entertained for a good long time just dancing along to the Just Dance videos on youtube. Just type Just Dance in youtube search box and tons pop up.

9. The 5 Love Languages- What's your love language? I love this book, but for a quick date night to get started, just take this quiz with your man. We usually show love for others in the way that makes us feel most loved, but since we don't all feel love the same way, your efforts may not be received as we hope. When we learn how others feel loved, we can make an effort to love them the way they want! Believe me, it relieves a ton of frustration to learn this about each other.

10. Are you and Introvert or Extrovert Quiz? I read Quiet which really made me think about me and my children and our different strengths and weaknesses. Take the test here. I found it very interesting and helpful, as well as insightful for myself.
